Board of Directors

Q. Who are the members of the Colonial Pointe Association Board of Directors?

A. The current list of Board members can be found under Colonial Pointe Board of Directors.

Q. When are the Board meetings?

A. The Board meets every  month, except July and August and December.  The meeting time and venue is posted one week in advance on the front notice board (by exit of front gate).  If there is no notice, there will not be a meeting that month.

Q. Can I attend Board meetings?

A. Yes, we encourage you to do so.

Property Changes

Q. Do I need permission to make any change to the exterior of my property?

A. Yes.   Any and all exterior changes to your property will need to be approved by the Architectural Review Committee (ARC)

Q. How do I get permission to make changes to the exterior of my property?

A.  Please send your request to Sandcastle Property Management and Brokerage (address above), who will forward it to the ARC for review.

Q. Can I change the exterior color of my property?

A. Yes, we have a selection of approved colors that you may choose from.   You may also re-paint the same color, or the same color as any of the other homes in the community with the exception of your immediate neighbors.  For any of these options, you will need ARC approval to paint your property

Q. How long does the ARC process usually take?

A. The ARC committee meets on a “as needed basis” so a decision is usually very quick.

Q. Can I appeal a decision of the ARC?

A. Yes.  The appeal procedure is contained in the community Rules and Regulations.  See page 23, section 6.3c of the Master Declaration  

Irrigation

Q. When can I water my lawn

A. Watering restrictions are set to two days per week by Lee County.  For our community  Odd numbered (15001, 15003, etc)  properties are Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Even numbered (15002, 15004, etc.) are Thursdays and Sundays.

Front Gate Access

Q. I need to replace my gate / garage door opener. Who provides them for Colonial Pointe access?

A. These are available from Ray North Inc. Cost is approximately $40 each. They generally have them in stock. No appointment needed.
